Georgina Ciotti discovered her passion for the arts at an early age, and developed her talents through studying drawing, sculpture, design, illustration and special effects. From 1999 to 2009 she lived in Barcelona where her work in design and special effects caught the attention of Guillermo del Toro, who invited her to create mythical creatures for Hellboy I and II, and the Oscar winning film Pan’s Labrinth .

Previously on view at Mass MoCA, with a large scale “iceberg-like” installation, Katharina Grosse makes a mark in Downtown Brooklyn. “Just the two of us” is the name of an installation on view through September 14, 2014 by German artist Katharina Grosse. Located at the Metrotech Commons, the colorful fiberglass landscapes transform the park into an open access, urban sculpture garden.

The Volvo Charging Station which we previously featured on Epistrophy (here) has been realized and deployed in Rome, Italy. Designed by Los Angeles based office Synthesis Design + Architecture and built by Fabric Images, Chicago, the new pavilion features a tensile structure covered in specially produced, flexible photovoltaic panels.
