The Vietnamese artist, who has been folding paper ever since he was a kid and has been only getting better at it. After studying the art of a number of Japanese origami artists, Nguyen Cuong set out to create his own designs. He always uses just a single sheet of paper to create his life-like origami animas and creatures.

Nguyen Cuong’s work has been published in several journals and books including the JOAS (Japan Origami Academic Society) books and magazines, OUSA (Origami USA) collection 2008, and other books. In 2008, my eagle was published in Licence to Fold – a collection of many models from authors around the world.

So far, origami is just a hobby of Nguyen’s but I am sure all hoping he makes into a full-time occupation.
